With recent threats of terrorism growing higher, European Union is going to implement finger printing and IRIS scanning on all air travelers. Though this will mean, a bit of trouble faced by citizens, and might conflict with freedom and rights, but if it’s going to save people’s life’s, I would support the issue.
I was not surprised when six out of ten people supported government issues and thought this step were not just exaggerating terrorism threat, but could even help in suppressing it also. Alleged terror plot few days ago, has changed the way a common man thinks now. More people care going in support of stricter law to combat terrorism.
Mr Frattini on the above issue said that;
“We do want a European Islam and that is very important not only to show to the Muslim communities that we fully respect other religions ... but we also want [them to] respect national laws, European laws and fundamental rights - first of all the right to life,”
Me, for the one think these laws should not be taken as an insult to individual religion, but as a counter measure to suppress the ever growing threat from terrorism.
