This does not come as a surprise after the accident of a passenger jet that resulted in the death all 154 people on board after colliding with a private executive jet. Both had been flying at been cleared to fly at 37,000 feet. The blame is being laid at the doors of the air traffic controllers now instead of the American pilots of the executive jet.

Two European airlines have adopted special precautions for flying in Brazil. The pilots have been instructed to fly at the edges of air traffic lanes and take other defensive measures. This has been done since they are dubious about the safety of Brazilian air space.

Though International Air Traffic Controllers Associations (Ifatca) has refrained from from designating Brazil’s airspace as ‘dangerous’ it has been labeled ‘under suspicion,’
