American Airlines, the world’s largest airline, is introducing check-in service using airport Self-Service machines. The service is a fast and convenient process to check in for domestic or international travel with an electronic ticket.

The Self-Service Check-In machines makes the check-in process faster and easier as its available in English and Spanish language, where you can select a seat, check bags, get a boarding pass and obtain an electronic receipt.
Monte Ford, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer said:

We know that our passengers enjoy the convenience, speed and reliability of Self-Service check in for their domestic travel. Giving customers the ability to self-check in for international flights improves the customer experience by reducing queues, which saves our passengers valuable time. And, as always, our expert ticket agents are on hand to assist those who prefer to check in with an agent.

The passenger can select his journey by swiping their passport or credit card through the machine’s reader. In case the passenger’s passport is not supporting the service than he/she can enter the information manually. And if you are not a U.S. citizen but the residents of America than you will be asked to swipe your U.S. Alien Resident’s card.
