Jetstar will replace regular Qantas services on the Cairns-Darwin-Singapore route from October 29. This will help increase capacity on the route by about 10 percent, or 115 seats. John Borghetti, the Executive General Manager of Qantas, said,
“Our Cairns-Darwin-Singapore services predominantly cater for inbound leisure travellers, so the Jetstar model and style of service is the most appropriate for this route.”
The new services will be in tune to take the Qantas international flights between Singapore and Europe.
