If you are fed up of standing in long queues then very soon you can get away with the hassle as Heathrow airport is inviting passengers to sign up for a trial of the most advanced passenger screening equipment in the world.
This procedure would enable travelers to bypass long queues if they have their fingerprints biometrically scanned. Many people consider this new system futile from security point of view but there is a big number of such people too who consider this new method scanning very efficient as it make traveling much more easier.
Under this new system, passengers would be provided with an ‘electronic key’ that would allow them to pass through each stage of the airport and passengers will not have to prove their identity repeatedly by showing papers.
In my view, through this new technology scanning procedure of airports is going to be revolutionized completely. Moreover, it is need of the hour because now we are living in a high-tech world that asks for high high-tech security measures too. This kind of biometric technology is already available in Dubai and Hong Kong and we must hope that this new technology would soon be available round the world.
